The people who live here decorate their front window every season.

Then there is Volpe's - in a class by itself. (I wanna meet this guy!)

This place is crazy busy on the weekends.
Believe it or not, this place features valet parking -- at beach bar! !
The funkiest garden on Sunset Beach has got to Ross & Wendy's on 77th Ave. Wendy handpainted signs just in case you're wondering how she feels about development in their neighborhood...![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU4mZe1_OyGx5Kq2USXNvpvUO6d44KpmEb82g1OUqiTrwqy3dDdiOp0IyhaNoDw82qwyxkodVZ8nUoo6r73BsO4iloSO3zehrhfcE8GVTMCMjCHnkttl_VFXxkkZbst7I66BOggGeJ9mc/s400/180.JPG)
and has collected lots of tchotchke for display. (And, Tina, she's planning a bottle tree -- I'll keep you posted on that!)
The Sunday night drumming circle reminds me of the Key West Sunset Festival.

How fun! I love it all, especially the mailboxes.
Wonderful pictures! I especially like the purple mailbox in front of the purple house. And the drummers were great. "Funkify" is such a good word. Shouldn't have that red underlining...
PS: I should have read mayberry's comment before I posted mine. oh well.
It looks like a fun place to visit. I am really not a beach person though. I prefer a freshwater lake myself!
Re:Comment on CC. My chickens are not really a pure breed. The feedstore had them labeled as Aracaunas.
Blessings,
Lorilee
What a fabulous tour that was, thank you! We usually beach it close to home -- and look what we've been missing!
Sounds like you had a wonderful restful time. The pictures of the beach are not what I expected - looks inviting, serene and private. Glad you're back!
Very entertaining! This whole post is fun from the mailboxes to the music. I can see why it's going on your favorite list. Nice ocean views and no crowds. Looks like a time to really meet the locals.
My favorite place to beach--is Pawley's Island in South Carolina. It's quiet when the kids are back in school.
Mayberry & Pam, I took about 20 photos of cool mailboxes - fish were a common theme, with the lid opening as a mouth.
Lorilee, love your Aracaunas. I'll have to keep an eye out for those.
June, I bet the beaches up there are beautiful, too!
Thanks, Pam. I don't know how they come up with such perfect sunsets every night.
Never been to Pawley's Island, Anna. My cousin and I want to rent a beach house in NC next summer, so maybe we'll investigate that area!
