Planted Yesterday

This Coreopsis and Echinacea were purchased marked down at the garden center yesterday. I'm trying to start a rain garden in a sunken, eroded area of my yard. I stuck a few marigolds in there and have also been digging up wildflower specimens here and there that with any luck will naturalize. Chickory and is in bloom now and I'm hoping to snag some of that from the roadside soon.

I love your blog! I'm here because I saw your post on another blog about having trouble with yeast. Me,too! If you get any tips on using it during hot weather in bread recipes, could you share the info or give me a heads up. Adorable dog :) I've been so busy just trying to keep up with the garden lately.

Thank you, Bookingalong! Every couple of years I try making something with yeast again and it never works out. I saw a recipe for a no-knead bread recently and might try that, maybe putting it outside to rise since it's so warm? See? I haven't given up hope!
