The Long Awaited Purple Hyacinth Bean

I had almost given up on these, since I planted them at the same time I planted my other beans. They took their sweet time climbing up a wooden trellis and decided not to bloom until this week. I love the variation of purple colors and they smell heavenly. Look at the gorgeous purple veins on the leaves.

They look wonderful. I too have some that I had given up hope on. They also just started blooming last week. Your photos are beautiful by the way.

I've been trying to find out what these were called for ages - I'd seen them blooming in September and really liked them, but had no idea how to get hold of them. now i know what to look for. Thanks!
