Ten Things to See in Las Vegas

Just to clarify, The Las Vegas shown here is Las Vegas, New Mexico, about an hour north of Santa Fe. It's also about an 180 degree trun from Las Vegas Nevada when it comes to "action," but put on your cowboy boots and stroll around the historic Old Town Plaza.

1) Handpainted signs and murals on buildings

2) Incredible sunsets....

3) Kitchy and creative gardens.

4) Hummingbirds.

5) Rock garden front yards.

6) The farmer's market.

7) Tamales, tamales, tamales.

8) "Adobe colonial" architecture.

9) A Weaving Center/cafe

10) Montezuma Hot Springs

What more could you want? How about an Obama campaign headquarters and a bookstore called "Tome on the Range"?

What a contrast to the other Vegas. I think I like this one better. Lots of character and charm, beautiful sunsets. It's great exploring places like this. Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous photos.

I love the colors.

And to think, I had no idea there was a Las Vegas, NM. Thank you for sharing that.

By the way, I'm not far from Nyack, myself!

JGH thank you for your visit. I thought I better come and say hello too. It is great the pictures you show of your Las Vegas; this is more my style. The sunsets are very beautiful. The different rural gardens are lovely; they mirror the pleasure of the people who have created them
in their originality. The hummingbird are amazing with their long long beaks I guess all adapted to the available flora to get at the nectar.
