You've met Jose, Hot Flakes, Sam, Jam and Lupe (the snail). Now say hello to Eeeny, Meeny, Miny, Float, Tickle and Lupito (baby snail). Since I embarassed myself trying to photograph the babies last time, I'm just showing the proud parents, Jam and Hot Flakes.
Mom is just glowing!
I think we need bigger bowl.
Theme Thursday is hosted here at the Theme Thursday blog. Click over and look at the other fish! Looking forward to more Thursdays together.

Maybe a couple of bowls if they keep having babies:)
How beautiful! Certainly more bowls will be needed soon :-)
I'm thrilled for you! Great names too, Hot Flakes cracks me up.
Seriously, I've always wanted an aquarium. as a kid I had turtles, then a frog, then chameleons but never got the aquarium with the little diver and the cave.
You've definitely outgrown that humble starter-home and are ready to move up to an aquarium. Congrats on the latest swimming additions.
Indeed a new home is in store for the little ones ; )
Thanks for joining in!
Cheers!
do you have to separate the sexes if you want to insure there are no more babies? i bet that is hard to do!
I really enjoyed this one. When our guppies had babies, they seemed to eat the one by one, so watch out for that!
oh yeah, I remember the guppies scarfing their babies from childhood - we learned with the second "litter" (what is that called with fish, anyway?) to scoop them out with a net and put them in their own bowl pronto. Congrats to the lovely parents, hope they don't get too hungry! :)
I want an aquarium!
Your fish will be glad to know that the fish sticks in my freezer are vegan fish sticks.
They look like very proud parents. The colors and greenery are nice, too. This TT has had a lot of Great Stories. I'm surprised by how many have turned out to be shared family memories. It's a great gift to be sharing these snaps this way.
Can I ask a dumb question or three or four? Do you use special water in your aquarium? like spring water? Would tap water hurt the fish? How often do you change the water or do you just add fresh?
is direct strong sunlight Okay ? Can I put an aquarium very close to a window?
Jen, you won a free book on GardenRant. Send your mailing address to me at susan@sustainable-gardening.com. Brief post on the Rant yesterday announces winners.
Today we noticed that some of the males - I think they are the ones with the flakes - seemed to be "picking" on the mama. Are they getting ready to mate again? Yikes! I didn't sign up for this.
