Key Lime Yummies Bakery - Dangerous and Delicious

We've noticed that lots of establishments, particularly in Florida, claim to have what has been voted the "best Key Lime Pie." But do they have a blue ribbon and trophy from the American Pie Council that proves it? I think not.

Key Lime Yummies Bakery, in Tarpon Springs Florida, was founded two years ago by my cousin Lola and her mom Cindy when she was only 21 years old and a recent culinary school graduate. We're so thrilled that they won the award earlier this year for their amazing Key Lime creation!
They can do birthday, wedding and other special occasion cakes and pies in fun and unusual flavors like strawberry, watermelon and mango.
Lola created silicone molds from real shells that she used to make the edible shells on the cake on the right. And here's the dangerous part: They ship nationwide. Here's a link to their site.

You can signal their ship at (727) 942-0325. Or Sail in for a visit!

Grandma (Baba) would be proud!

Oh, wow, Jen!!! I LOVE Key Lime Pie! Congratulations to your family for a fantastic achievement, not to mention the clever silicone shells (finally a better use for silicone than you know what... )!!!---Silence

Now that is a beautiful cake and very clever. I would give anything to have a piece of their key lime pie as it's my favorite.

I'm glad you are back.

Lzyjo - I got one of the Key Lime pies to take home - it was Amazing.

Tut - we hadn't seen each other since my wedding 15 years ago. I was so happy to reconnect with them.

Ben, I couldn't wheedle a recipe out of her, but if I ever do, I'll send it your way.

Tina, order a pie and let me know what you think!

Bangchik, she had a photo album full of amazing stuff - wish I could share all of it.

Thanks, Anna. We are glad to be back. It was a nice break, but we're not used to the heat in Florida this time of year. Luckily the kids were in the water most of the time.
