Here’s a fun and easy one to make with the kids:
Melt in large pot: 1 (12 oz.) pkg chocolate chips, (if you have a hunk of better quality chocolate, like Callebaut, hanging around, that’ll do just fine too), 1 stick margarine/butter, 1 cup peanut butter.
Add 1 box Crispix cereal.
You can also use Kix, Cheeerios or a mix of several. I had a few Honeycombs, and Cheerios so I put those in.
Stir to coat thoroughly.
Pour into large container with lid. (We use a popcorn tin – you can find these filled with popcorn on sale at the drugstore this time of year.)
Add 3 cups powdered sugar, cover, shake vigorously and roll on the floor….

Sounds like a great giftie for everyone (though not puppies, as you point out).
Not appropriate for my waistline! That's one dangerous snack.
Yum-E!!...I think I'll try this one out even before the grandkids come for a visit!! Now I'm going to put on a couple of pounds and it'll be your fault!!
Yum! I will print this out and see if I can't interest the teenager in making it.
I can't get beyond the first picture. My eating habits tell me to grab a handful of those chocolate chips, followed by a big tablespoon of the peanut butter. Then I'd slather a big hunk of that butter on any available bread. Your way of serving all those goodies is so much more festive and civilized.
Looks delicious.
i like marshmallows ! thank bright girl for that addition !
You guys are right about the waistline- the problem with this stuff is that it's too easy to take "just a few" pieces, which turns into a handful, then a cupful, etc, etc...
