Kid Pics Fix - Middle School Girls

Miss E., my oldest (second from right) and her friends are starting middle school today! I was talking to my sister-in-law yesterday about my niece's challenging separations at playgroup and remembered the numerous difficult goodbyes that we had in preschool. There were lots of birthday parties where she would not leave my lap.

Yesterday E. asked me to drive her to school today so that I could come in and help her set up her locker, but today she bounced out of the car and said "I don't think I need you, Mom." (Sob) And forget about asking a 4th grade boy to kiss you goodbye at dropoff. Not gonna happen.

It is always nice to see them growing up.... and there are times when nostalgia will grab us, and we just smile or tears trickling down... hmm. ~bangchik and kakdah.

Bangchik & Kakdah, i agree- it's sweet and sad at the same time.

Ben, you would not believe the stories I heard tonight about her teachers, the kids in her class, how she dropped her tray at lunch, arrived late, saw this person and that person - a day full of adventures already!

Thanks, Liz. I'm kinda glad the first day is over, though.

LOL Tina. You got that right!

The girls! All grown up!
It seems like just yesterday when we were sipping mulled wine and watching the children play with fire at the little German school house....
