The year: 2222.
Our Earth has become so littered with trash that all factories have shut down, making it impossible for new clothes to be made.
Their mission: Create a piece of clothing (or whole outfit) using only recycled materials.
Result: The Earth Day Fashion Show
Apologies for the sorry blurryness of some of these photos. I have a whole new appreciation now for runway photographers!

Love it, Jen! So much creativity, and the "runway models" looked like they were having a great time. I loved a lot of them, but my fave was the top hat. Whoa! Willy Wonka, eat your heart out!

What a wonderful and creative project. Makes me want to design recycled coutre. I have an early 60's photo of my brother in a costume similar to the first one. Loved the soda bottle hat. Fun.
I don't know what I like more: the idea or the creations. Really wonderful!
Those were very clever fashions and the kids look like they were having a great time modeling.
That was tons of fun. I took some notes in case we end up there in a few weeks. Those kids were smart about putting outfits together.

Trash Fash --loving it. for my personal award, I choose the skirt which appears to be made of newspaper color inserts and the top hat / A&P vest combo!!!
